Add and Edit Captions
Now for the good stuff, adding and editing captions!
To add captions, click the white plus button located in the bottom center of your screen.
Next, select 'Captions.'
By default, Headliner will enable captions, as indicated by the blue toggle. Captions will also appear in US English by default. However, Headliner supports over 100+ languages! To change the caption language, select the drop down arrow and then click on the language in which you recorded in.
Please note, Headliner can only transcribe spoken word. It cannot translate.
Once you've enable captions, you may want to review and edit. Near the middle of your screen, under the audiogram preview, you will see a series of greyed out options. Select the 'Edit' icon located on the far right-hand side.
Next, click 'Generate Captions.'
You may need to wait a few moments while Headliner processes your caption file. Once Headliner has finished processing your captions, a transcript will automatically appear.
To make any corrections, select the word that needs changing. A blue highlight will appear indicating you have selected text. A set of commands will also appear.
To delete text and the corresponding captions and audio, click the 'Delete' button on the far left-hand corner.
To edit captions, click the middle option. Next, a white text box will appear. Type in the corrections you'd like to make. Once you're happy with how things look, click the dark blue check mark.
Headliner will automatically ingest corrections and apply changes to your transcript. All changes will be made viewable in the transcript and also reflected on the final audiogram project.
