Did you know you can clip, caption, and style video with Headliner?! Whether you're working with a YouTube channel, video podcast, or really anything video related, Headliner makes it easy to clip, caption, and style your video content—perfect for repurposing full-length content for social media.
Here’s how to clip full-length video with Headliner in just a few steps.
1. Visit the 'Clip, Caption, & Style' Wizard
When visiting your Headliner account, you'll need to enter the video wizard. Click on the orange 'Clip, Caption, & Style' wizard.
Next, you'll need to decide what you want to do!
Headliner offers three options in the video wizard:
- Get a single video with captions - Easily add captions to a single clip or full-length video.
- Get multiple clips with captions - Give Headliner's AI a whirl! Headliner can automatically turn one full-length video into up to 10 styled, captioned clips. **Our most popular workflow!
- Get clips with captions for your Most Replayed - For YouTube channels with available 'most replayed' data, Headliner can automatically clip those most replayed moments for proven, engaging video clips.
Once in the video wizard, you’ve got a few ways to upload your video:
- Paste a YouTube link (YouTube Ingestion)-Just copy and paste a YouTube URL into Headliner. We’ll automatically import the video and transcribe it.
- Upload your video file - Use any MP4 or MOV file from your computer. Drag and drop, or click to browse.
- Connect to Google Drive - Try our handy Google Drive integration! Easily import your video recording from your Google Drive to your Headliner account. Perfect for teams!
- Import your Zoom recordings - Record using Zoom? Connect your Zoom account to Headliner and we can pull any recording stored in your account to be captioned, clipped, or styled.
Once uploaded, you can start to make stylistic decisions for your podcast. It is important to note, it may take a few moments for your video to upload in Headliner. Please wait in Headliner or leave the tab open while we process your video.
Note: Most Replayed requires YouTube Ingestion—so have your link ready!
Note: Depending on your selected wizard, you may be asked to 'Choose a Destination.' By selecting a destination, you are telling Headliner where you would like to post your video. This helps us determine aspect ratio and ensure your clip(s) meet platform requirements so you can actually post it! Choosing a destination does not mean you HAVE to post to that platform; you may post your videos to any platform (time length permitting).
2. Caption and Style Your Video
Once you've got some of the boring stuff out of the way, it's time for the fun part: styling your video! You may select from Headliner's pre-made templates or choose to build your own in the Quick Editor.
The Quick Editor allows to quickly add captions, brand, and templates your videos.
3. Review and Share Your Clips
Once you're happy with the way everything looks, click 'Get My Clips.' Headliner will get to work and start applying your stylistic decisions, processing videos, and finding clippable moments. When your videos are ready for review, you'll receive an email, push notification, and/or dashboard notification.
