Automatic Audiograms are the easiest way to grow and market your podcast! True to their name, Automatic Audiograms automatically generate new audiograms every time you release a new episode.
This page will walk you through how to create Automatic Audiograms. For any additional questions, please visit our Automation FAQ page.
How to Set Up Automations:
This section will walk you through the process for setting up an Automation. We will use the YouTube Shorts wizard as our example, as this is our most popular solution.
Note: For other listed platforms, the process is very similar! There are slight differences on posting requirements between platforms, which can affect step 3. Should you have questions about the differences, please email us at support@headliner.app! We would be more than happy to help.
1. Creating an Automation
Once you login to your Headliner account, you'll see a screen that looks like the one below. Select 'Automatic Audiograms' to get started.
Next, search your podcast using our podcast search box. If you need help connecting your show to Headliner, check out this article.
2. Select Your Audiograms' Destination
Next, tell us where you'd like to post your audiograms to. The destination you select will help us best optimize your audiogram. This includes deciding on the optimal aspect ratio and video length.
Headliner lets you post to all major social platforms including:
- YouTube (shorts, clips, & full-length)
- Instagram Reels
- Facebook Reels
- TikTok
- Threads Reels
- X(Twitter)
- Bluesky *new
Once you've selected your platform, you'll be asked how you'd like Headliner to create for you. In the example below, we are creating a YouTube Short automation.
Next, you'll be asked how you want Headliner to distribute your audiograms. By selecting, 'Auto-post' you are authorizing Headliner to automatically post clips or full-length audiograms on your behalf. If you'd like to check selections before posting, we recommend selecting 'Email videos to me.' This allows you to manually review selections before sharing with the world.
In our YouTube Shorts example, we wanted Headliner to do all the work for us, so we selected 'Auto-post videos to YouTube.' Selecting this option opens an additional step. This is where you set all your posting requirements.
Pro tip: We recommend double checking your 'playlist' and visibility options under 'SEE ADDITIONAL DETAILS.' Otherwise, Headliner will fill in the blanks using what we can find in your RSS Feed. (Which is still great!)
Next, depending on your selection, you may be asked 'How should we select clips?' (If you select full-episode, you will not be prompted to complete this step.) Here you will be able to designate whether or not you want our AI to automatically create clips, or if you would like us to default to using Soundbite tags from your RSS feed.
Next, you'll be able to determine the starting point (you can always change this later btw!). You may select between future episodes (starting with your most recent episode) OR creating from your back catalog.
Note: Back catalog is a paid feature in Headliner. You may be asked to upgrade your account if selecting this option.
3. Design to Your Heart's Content!
Finally, it's your time to design! Select between Headliner's many pre-made templates or design your own from scratch.
After selecting a template, you'll be able to customize your template further. Add additional design elements like captions, progress bars, or GIFs.
4. Focus on Creating Your Awesome Podcast
And just like that, you've made an Automatic Audiogram! Headliner will continue monitoring your show's RSS Feed for new releases and share them accordingly.
The product is in BETA (and we're always looking to improve!), so we welcome your feedback here.
