Connected apps in Headliner shows connected integrations and integrations you have available to you in your Headliner account. Connected apps enable Headliner to autopost and schedule clips to social media dn YouTube accounts as well as import files from Zoom, Google Drive, and Canva into Headliner.
This article will teach you how to manage connected apps in your Headliner account.
Connecting an app for the first time
If you haven't connected anything yet, the Apps page shows every integration available to you.
- Go to Account Settings > Apps.
- Find the platform you want to connect and tap the Plus (+) icon on its card.
- You'll be taken to that platform's sign-in flow. Log in and approve the permissions it asks for.
- You'll land back on the Apps page, and the platform now appears under Connected Apps.
You can repeat this for each platform you use. There's no limit on how many platforms you connect, only on accounts per platform (more on that later).
Please note, if you have signed into an account in Headliner, Headliner automatically adds this account/platform to your Connected Apps. This is why you may be seeing active connections in your Headliner account.
What you'll see once you're connected
Once you've connected at least one app, a Connected Apps section appears above Available to Connect, so your active integrations are always the first thing you see.
Each connection shows:
- Avatar — pulled directly from the platform
- Badged platform icon — a small logo overlaid on the avatar so you can tell platforms apart at a glance
- Display name — your name or handle as it appears on that platform
- Account URL — a link to your profile, or the platform name if a URL isn't available
- Status indicator — confirms the connection is active
If a connection has expired, the status indicator is replaced with a Refresh button. Tap the three dots next to Refresh to re-authenticate.
One account per platform
Headliner currently supports one connected account per platform.
Need to use a different account on that same platform instead? Hover over the card, and you'll see a tooltip pointing you to Switch Account.
Headliner will walk redirect you to a login page to start the switch over. Follow the onscreen prompts to successfully connect a new account to Headliner.
Removing a connected app
To remove a connection, click the three dots located next to an existing connection on the right-hand side of your screen. Tap Remove Connection from the context menu.
If you have an upcoming post scheduled through that connection, the modal changes: it'll tell you that removing the app will affect that scheduled post, so you can decide whether to reschedule, publish manually, or proceed with the disconnect.
If you don't have anything scheduled, the following popup will appear.
To proceed with connection removal, click Disconnect. The platform moves back down to Available to Connect.
Quick troubleshooting
My connection shows as expired. Some platform connections periodically expire if left unused for app security. Tap Refresh on the card to reauthorize.
I don't see the platform I want to connect. Check Available to Connect below your connected apps. If it's not listed, it's not yet a supported integration. To request an integration, email support@headliner.app.
I want to switch which account is connected. Use Switch Account (hover over the connected card) rather than removing and re-adding.
I removed an app and now a scheduled post is missing its destination. Reconnect the platform, then reschedule the post using the Headliner Content Scheduler.
