Templates in Headliner allow you to reuse a previously designed project in order to create a similar video for your podcast. Pre-saved and custom templates are available on the ‘Create’ tab of the Projects Page and are available in any Make Wizard (Manual Audiograms, Automatic Audiograms, Video Clipping Wizard).
This article will teach how to create and use templates in Headliner!
How to make templates (Quick Editor)
Luckily, making templates in Headliner is easy! To create a template in the Quick Editor, you must go through the Design Wizard (pictured below).
Next comes the fun part: designing your template. Add assets such as your podcast art, caption styles, and progress bars to create templates that showcase your show’s unique style and flair. Once you’re happy with the way things look, click ‘SAVE TEMPLATE’ located in the upper right-hand corner.
And…well, that’s it! Once you’ve successfully saved your template, you’ll be able to use it again and again.
How to make templates (Advanced Editor)
There is another way to make templates in Headliner with the Advanced Editor. The Advanced Editor holds a lot of the same capabilities as the Quick Editor, but things are in slightly different places.
This section will walk you through how to do just that!
To create a template with the Advanced Editor, first, click on the purple ‘Advanced Editor’ wizard in your Headliner account.
Next, you’ll see a blank project. To start building your template, you’ll need to add assets in the Media Track below. To do so, hover over the asset type (i.e., text, image, audio) and click the blue plus button.
Next, follow the on-screen prompts to place your asset. To learn more about the Advanced Editor, please refer to this help article.
Once you’re happy with how everything looks, click ‘SAVE AS A TEMPLATE’ in the upper left-hand corner.
And viola! That’s how you make templates here in Headliner.
Note: Saving templates to your account is a Headliner Pro feature. To purchase Pro or upgrade your account, please visit your ‘My Plan Page.’
