Headliner requires that feeds contain a visible email address to be able to view analytics on Headliner's dashboard. This is done to ensure that a podcast's data is secure and being accessed by its owners. For many podcasts, making your email address visible on your RSS feed is as simple as going into your account settings on your podcast host and enabling it.
The following is a walkthrough on how to do that on several popular podcast hosts:
Spotify for Podcasters
To make your email address visible on Spotify for Podcasters, visit the settings tab on the left side of the screen. Then, click on availability under the podcast settings window. You will be able to add a visible email address to your feed in the RSS Distribution section.
Buzzsprout
According to Buzzsprout's help desk, email addresses cannot be permanently set to visible on their feeds. They can, however, be inserted onto your feed for 24 hours. To do this, head to the directories page on your Buzzsprout account. Then, click on the RSS Feed tab. An option to add your email address will be visible there.
RSS.com
Similar to Buzzsprout, RSS.com only allows you to temporarily make your feed visible (for 12 hours). To do this, head to your podcast dashboard and visit the settings tab. The option to Enable Email in [your] RSS Feed will be on the page.
Transistor
To enable your email address, visit the settings tab of your podcast. A box to display your email address on your feed will be visible in the Owner Email field.
Zencastr
Email addresses can be made visible on your feed from your Zencastr dashboard. To do this, click on the Episodes tab once you're signed in. Then, click on the Edit button next to your show title and open the advanced settings. You will be able to make your email address visible from there.
