Captions/Transcription can be added to a project via our Audiogram or Caption a Video wizards for audio or video, respectively. Additionally, captions can be added onto a project via our advanced editor option.
To add captions from our editor, you’ll need to upload media/audio onto the timeline. To do this, click on the blue plus button which will appear when you hover your mouse over our Media or Audio track:
Note: Captions can only be added to one piece of media per project at this time. Additionally, Background Audio cannot be transcribed.
After clicking the blue plus button, you’ll be prompted to upload or search for audio/media:
Next, you’ll be able to toggle transcription for your audio or video, as well as select the language being spoken in the file.
Note: There are multiple versions for some languages that are designed to accommodate different regional dialects, accents, or grammar. Selecting a different language from what is spoken in your audio/video will not result in that file being translated.
After adding your audio/video to your project with transcription enabled, our site will then process your file and add a transcript to it! This transcript will then be able to be edited/adjusted to your liking.
